John C. Hunter, P.Eng., President & CEO of Hamilton Utilities Corporation.
John joined HUC in November, 2007 after over 35 years in the energy
and infrastructure business in Canada, the USA, Asia, Venezuela, and
Mexico. He previously held executive appointments as Vice President,
International, with Westcoast Energy Inc., and as Vice President, Gas
Supply with Union Gas Ltd. In earlier years, John held various
engineering, business development, and management positions with Dome
Petroleum Ltd. and Imperial Oil Ltd. in Canadian and international
locations. He is a registered Professional Engineer with a B.Sc. and
M. Sc. in Chemical Engineering. John has served on the boards of a
number of non-profit societies and on various corporate international
boards and advisory committees to municipal government. John G. Basilio, CA,
Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining HUC in the fall of 2000, Mr.
Basilio spent several years in the asset-backed financial services
sector where he held various management positions encompassing
business development, corporate finance, treasury, taxation and
financial planning and reporting. He became a Chartered Accountant in
1992 while working with Ernst & Young and has since completed the
CICA in-depth tax course. Mr. Basilio graduated from the University of
Toronto (St. Michael's College) with a Bachelor of Commerce and
Finance Degree. Marjorie Richards,
Vice-President of Corporate Services with Hamilton Utilities
Corporation and its subsidiaries and Corporate Secretary to the Board
of Directors. Formerly General Manager and Finance Officer of Ancaster
Hydro-Electric Commission. Mrs. Richards sits on the Human Resources
Council for the Canadian Electricity Association, is Corporate Chair
for the Lung Association, sits on the Board of Directors for the
Industry Education Council and St. Joseph's Health System and is Chair
of the Board of Directors for St. Joe's Home Health Care. Sarah J. Hughes, CA,
is Corporate Controller of Hamilton Utilities Corporation. Prior to
joining HUC in June 2003, Sarah was Vice President, Finance of
Headline Media Group Inc. (TSX: HMG), a specialty television
broadcaster, where she was responsible for financial statement
reporting and control, cash management, business planning and
development, and budgeting and forecasting. While at Headline Media
Group Inc., Sarah played a key financial role in the company's $30
million public offering. Prior to this, Sarah has held corporate
controllership roles with Cableworks Communications Inc., a local
cable television distributor, and Reliable Life Insurance Company.
Sarah received her designation as a Chartered Accountant while working
with Ernst & Young and has a Masters of Accounting and Bachelor of
Arts from the University of Waterloo. Sarah is a member of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
