Katie Mills, Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Hamilton Utilities Corporation, Mrs. Mills worked in the consulting industry where she provided on-site CFO support and management and executive leadership to a diverse range of clients. She has over 25 years of experience managing all aspects of corporate finance, financial management and information technology in challenging business climates and providing strategic, financial and operational leadership to organizations in Canada, the United States and Germany. During her tenure, Katie was responsible for large-scale network and telecommunications implementations, establishing corporate risk management and governance strategies, policies and procedures, and the successful development and implementation of corporate strategies.

Mrs. Mills has been an active member of Financial Executives International (FEI) Canada since 2001, and was a Director on the London Chapter's Executive Committee from 2002 - 2006. She was a member of both the program committee for the 2006 FEI North America Conference, and the organizing committee for the 2008 Small-to-Medium Enterprise Day. Mrs. Mills joined the Joint FEI Canada and Accounting Standards Board Sub-Committee in 2008, a committee formed to address proposed changes to reporting requirements for private companies and the pending adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in Canada. Mrs. Mills holds a post-graduate Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, and successfully completed the CPA exam under the auspices of the State of Oregon.
